60-year-old woman arrested for alleged kidnap in Akure
Owode-Okegan axis of Akure, the Ondo State Capital was in disarray today for several hours, following the apprehension of a woman suspected to be a kidnapper.
The woman in her 60s had initially disguised as a beggar,collecting money from passers-by.
However,some youths in the vicinity out of curiosity accosted her and on interrogation, it was discovered that the woman was pursuing a school girl.
Within few minutes, it was learnt that people had gathered round her where she confessed that 15 of them were sent on similar mission by her sponsor to various locations but refused to disclose the sponsor’s identity.
Items found on the woman include money in various denominations, sponge and local soap (Ose dudu) various white sheets containing yoruba incantations, traditional rings and white rosary among others
