It was rude shock early this morning as Nigerians woke up to see a provocative advert on many national dailies sponsored by Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose.
The advert had a tone that wished death on General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The advert captioned: 'Nigerians Be Warned' appeared on the front pages of The Punch, The Guardian and other national dialies began with a quote from the Bible from the book of Deuteronomy, talking about life and death. Governor Fayose went to further hint that three former Nigerian head of states, General Murtala Mohammed, General Sani Abacha and Musa Yar'adua all from the Northwestern region all died in office.
A question mark was placed on a picture of General Buhari who is also from the northwestern region of the country with a caption "Again?". It would be recalled that last week a report rented the airwaves of a supposed concorted medical report alleging that General Buhari has prostrate cancer.
This was denied yesterday by Buhari at a press conference who dismissed the report as false and untrue.
