PDP planning to stone Buhari in Ondo

It seems stoning of politicians is what's in vogue among political thugs.

 The Buhari Campaign Co-ordinator for Ondo State, Mr. Ife Oyedele, has alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party in the state is plotting to organise youths to attack the convoy of Maj.-Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), the presidential candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress, during his campaign in Akure on Saturday (tomorrow).


Oyedele, at a conference organised by the Muhammadu Buhari Legacy Foundation, an NGO rallying support for Buhari, in Akure on Thursday, said the PDP plot was to serve as retaliation for the attack on the convoy of President Goodluck Jonathan in Katsina on Tuesday.

He said, “The PDP is organising thugs to stone our convoy on Saturday. They are recruiting thugs that will be throwing stones at General Buhari, just to give the impression that he is not loved by the people of the state.

 “But we shall resist it. We have also petitioned the commissioner of police in the state on this. “We expect the security agencies to do what they are paid to do.”
