About 200 People Feared Killed In Recent Multiple Explosions In Jos

About 200 people were reportedly killed by multiple explosionsat Jos Main Market, between Railway Terminus and the temporary site of the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), according to the reports. The first explosion sounded at about 2:55 PM while the second happened about 10 metres away at about 3:20 PM around the same area, according to Premium Times. According to CNN, there were three explosions. The first blast was a bomb detonated at the Terminus market, where food and clothes are sold, the journalists said. The second blast was at the same market and could have been a bomb or gas canister ignited by the first bomb. The third explosion was at Abuja market, which sells shoes, the journalists at the scene reported. Sahara Reporters wrote that over 200 people were killed, up from the official 72 dead released earlier by government sources, as the two apparent car bombings had exploded 32 minutes apart.
